The Baby Supplies Project is part of the Benevolence Program and was created with the aim of supporting the parents with a monthly distribution of baby care goods and spreading awareness about good hygiene and baby care practices to contribute to their healthy development. We are currently supporting 50 babies between 0 and 2 years old and we carry out the baby supplies distribution on the last week of every month.
As the Baby Supplies Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead a project that is creating a meaningful impact on the lives of refugees and migrants in Lisbon. In collaboration with the Benevolence Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating and delivering the successful implementation of this project and taking actions and initiatives to further develop it.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Keep track and record all requests for Baby Supplies.
Collaborate in the selection process for new beneficiaries.
Regularly update the data base containing parent’s and babies’ information.
Provide individualized support to parents during the selection process for baby supplies.
Keep a detailed inventory of baby supplies orders.
Be present on the day of delivery of baby supplies and on the distribution day.
Update the Benevolence Program manager with challenges and ideas.
Help establish partnerships and organize donations or fundraising campaigns to further develop the project.
Collaborate with other departments to organize activities that will add value to the monthly distribution (ex: info sessions, parent's meetings and/or community building activities).
Requirements
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Detail oriented and efficient
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
Availability of two days during the last week of every month to receive baby supplies orders and take part in the distribution.
Knowledge on baby development, health and/or nutrition and/or other significant experience working with babies is a plus.

Time Commitment: Minimum 4 hours per week (5 hours on the distribution week) for a minimum of 6 months. (Being present at Lisbon Project office once or twice a week).
