Events Coordinator (programs)

Reporting directly to the Director of Programmes, you will manage a schedule of events and arrange all the different aspects from beginning to end.

You will work with delivery managers to organise events for our community members that empower them and prepare them for the job market. Quality and service is at the heart of what you do and how you deliver it.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits.

  • Liaise with delivery managers to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct research, gather information and implement agreements with external partners.

  • Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders.

  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality.

  • Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc

  • Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.

  • Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities.

  • Ensure marketing and PR opportunities are leveraged to promote and publicize. event, but also the profile of the LP for fundraising.

  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day.

  • Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes.

  • Research community needs, identify event opportunities and generate interest.


Requirements

  • Some experience as an Events Planner or Organizer

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Fluent in English

Time Commitment: 20hours/week, in a hybrid model (at least twice a week at the office and full presence in workshops). Minimum commitment of 6 months.
