Policy implementation specialist


The Lisbon Project is a non-profit organization that exists to empower and integrate the lives of migrants and refugees in the city of Lisbon. We are looking for a human resources consultant to help implementing HR policies. You will work closely with the People and Culture team to ensure all policies match the current employee safety and legal privacy obligations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides expertise on a broad and comprehensive range of human resources activities, including recruitment, compensation, performance management, talent development, employment transactions, policy compliance, and other related HR functional areas.

  • Support and advise on creating policies and compliance with applicable laws.

  • Act as point of contact on matters regarding policy changes for the P&C Director .

  • Establish Lisbon Project HR policies.

  • Create documentation that effectively explains any changes.

  • Identify possibilities for improvement across the P&C department .


Requirements
  • Fluent in Portuguese and in English.

  • Knowledge of Portuguese labour law.

  • Working experience in Human Resources field.

  • Excellent consulting skills to advise and bring all policy requirements up to date.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to exercise good judgement.

  • Cultural awareness and ability to interact with people from different cultures, genders.

  • Willingness to work with your own personal computer.



Time Commitment

3 to 10 hours per week - minimum time commitment of 6 months. Start date as soon as possible.
