Outbound Recruitment Coordinator


Time Commitment: Minimum 10 -15 hours p/Week

Reports to: People & House Manager

Start Date: November 2024


Summary: 


The Lisbon Project is a non-profit organization that exists to empower and integrate the lives of migrants and refugees in the city of Lisbon.  The mission of the People and Culture (P&C) Department is to ensure that anyone who integrates our team will know: “You are valued!” As a global team with a vast range of backgrounds, ways of thinking, and varied experiences, we want each one of our team members to feel that they belong, are included, and can thrive at the Lisbon Project. 

As the Outbound Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the recruitment process. Your role will be focused on bettering the process as whole as well as looking for possible long-term recruitment partnerships. 

The role involves assessing and meeting the Lisbon Project’s needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers/interns; who are essential to the Lisbon Project. You will contribute to welcome them appropriately, as well as placing them and provide continuous support together with the rest of the People & Culture Team. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop job descriptions based on the organization’s needs together with the supervisors. 

  • Help screen applications / resumes and send them to the appropriate managers in high volume seasons. 

  • Help develop partnerships with universities and companies (advertise volunteer and internship position on their careers page or participate in job fairs) 

  • Develop and foster long standing partnerships to ensure the sustainability of the recruitment process. 

  • Help find solutions for diversifying the Lisbon Project Team.    

  • Assist the team in further recruitment related tasks. 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Strong organisational skills. 

  • Linguistic skills are desirable, fluency in English is a must. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Cultural awareness and ability to interact with people from different cultures, genders and backgrounds. 

  • Respect beneficiaries and volunteer confidentiality. 

  • Willingness to work with your own personal computer and cell phone.
