Special Request Coordinator

Time Commitment: 20 hours per week

Summary:


As the Lisbon Project's Special request Coordinator you will have the opportunity to join a team that is creating meaningful impact on the lives of refugees and migrants in Lisbon. In the Benevolence Program, we try to search for quality donations to meet the material needs of our community.


Your responsibilities will include facilitating the provision of essential items such as clothing, household appliances and furniture to support individuals as they begin their new lives in Portugal. You'll actively engage with donors to coordinate donation logistics and collaborate with external partners and agencies to address the needs of registered families.


Working closely with the Benevolence Program Manager and our dedicated team, you'll ensure that program objectives align with the specific needs of beneficiaries, fostering meaningful impact and support within our community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the coordination and/or execution of the transportation of donated goods.

  • Monitor incoming and outgoing donations and implement prioritization processes to ensure their proper allocation.

  • Provide individualized support to members of the Lisbon Project community.

  • Support the Benevolence Program's two main distribution events: a weekly Friday Pop Up Store, a monthly Pop-Up Store on the last Saturday of every month.

  • Gather program outcomes data and measure results; evaluate and report on program.

  • Keep track of donors by regularly updating the donor's log.

  • Manage donations provided by partners and report on their use, outcome, and impact.

  • Develop and update policies according to the Program's evolution and necessities.

  • Proactively seek out new opportunities for collaboration and strategic partnerships that can enhance the impact and reach of the program.


Requirements:


  • Fluency in English, other language skills are valued.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests.

  • Problem-solving skills.

  • Capability to generate and analyze reports related to special requests.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
