Welcome and Facility Operations Assistant

As Welcome and Facility Operations Assistant you will guarantee the culture of the Lisbon Project. You will ensure that the Lisbon Project is a safe and clean space and that people feel welcome and respected.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive visitors (community members, team members, potential partners...) at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.

  • Assess the current state of our welcoming process and identify areas for improvement in alignment with our values and our community member needs.

  • Develop or improve protocols to better answer our community members concerns and emergencies.

  • Ensure cleanliness of facilities, especially kitchen area as well as all around compliance with health and safety – tidy and check throughout the day.

  • Propose strategies to optimize the management of our facilities.

  • Participate in the development of the Welcome and Facility Team (recruit and train potential volunteers)

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and implement policies and guidelines for the Lisbon Project office in accordance with the LP values.

  • Contribute to the preparation of the trimestrial reports at the end of September

  • Receive deliveries and sort daily mail

  • Oversee our general email (forward or reply)

  • Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.


Requirements

  • Fluent in English and in Portuguese.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Confident and eager to engage with team members, volunteers and community members.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.

Time Commitment: 32 hours per week, minimum of 6-months commitment.

Start date: 1st of October
