Summary:


We are seeking a dynamic Media and Communications Coordinator to oversee our communication strategy, manage content production, and lead our volunteer communications team. This role is central to maintaining and expanding our organization’s presence, both online and offline, ensuring all projects and communications align with our mission. You will work closely with the Communications Manager, coordinate projects, manage social media, and mentor a team of passionate volunteers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement the organization’s communication and social media strategy across platforms.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate media production, including shootings, recordings, and content editing.

  • Manage and lead a team of volunteers, fostering collaboration and motivation.

  • interview new volunteers for the communications team.

  • Act as the main point of contact between volunteers and the Comms Manager to ensure alignment on projects.

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

  • Write compelling content for various channels, including social media, and newsletters

  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics, providing insights for improvement.

  • Maintain brand consistency and ensure all communication reflects the organization’s values.


Requirements:


  • Strong writing and editing skills.

  • Experience managing social media accounts and content production.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to connect with a diverse team.
