A Day Trip To Remember: Cascais

Cascais is an unmissable day trip for whoever lives in or visits Lisbon! With its 30-kilometer seacoast, which combines beaches of wild nature with more urban ones, Cascais may be a city but it still has the vibe of a small beach town. On December 5th, the Co-Communities Program organised a trip to this city called “the Portuguese Riviera”.

Two Lisbon Project volunteers took five community members to take a look around the city, which was already shining in beautiful Christmas decorations. They spent many hours exploring the beautiful city centre, the marina, and the dreamy beaches. Their favourite discovery was Boca do Inferno – they were really impressed by the the magnificent waves they found there. The whole day was a non-stop photoshoot. After spending the sunny winter day walking outside, the group enjoyed some well deserved break in a typical Portuguese coffeeshop.

At the Lisbon Project, we love to see people connecting, developing friendships and growing together. Outings such as this one allow us to bring people together, creating moments of fun and laughter that surely all will remember forever.
