summary:
The Lisbon Project is a non-profit organization that exists to protect and integrate the lives of migrants and refugees in the city of Lisbon.
We are currently seeking a program assistant who will support in the delivery of all activities and follow-ups of both beneficiaries and volunteers. This role is a great opportunity to develop several professional skills, namely, people and project management, communicative and organizational skills, but above all, to make a huge impact in the lives of migrants e refugees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Program Management and Delivery
Stay in regular communication with the Employability Team to discuss updates and suggest improvements.
Help manage volunteers and assist with scheduling and coordination.
Provide support for budget tracking and planning.
Assist in maintaining clear and friendly communication with beneficiaries.
Assist with Database Management and Monitoring & Evaluation
Keep track of beneficiaries’ progress and ensure records are up to date
Help organize and maintain key program documentation.
Support in keeping feedback and evaluation channels active and accessible.
Help with Workshops and Training Sessions
Assist in planning and running activities designed to help beneficiaries develop technical and interpersonal skills.
Provide on-site support during training sessions and workshops.
Build Partnerships for Job Integration
Support collaboration with partners to ensure beneficiaries are successfully integrated into job roles and supported in the long term.
Requirements:
Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages such as Portuguese, French or Arabic is a huge advantage.
Strong IT and data management skills to help organize and track progress effectively.
Master's degree (ongoing or completed) in social work, evaluation, development studies, social sciences, or a related field OR at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Previous project management or monitoring and evaluation experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with team members and beneficiaries.
Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently, balancing multiple responsibilities.
A receptive and collaborative leadership style that fosters a positive, inclusive team environment.
Comfortable working with diverse groups and able to build strong, respectful relationships with people from all backgrounds.
