The Lisbon Project is a non-profit organization aiming to build a community that integrates and empowers migrants and refugees.
We are currently seeking interns to assist in the employability program. This includes the processes of welcoming, guiding and track-keeping of community members registered to the employability program.
Hiring a Program Manager assistant is a strategic move for our program, as it reflects our commitment to ensuring the effectiveness and impact of our activities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the program manager enhancing the impact and effectiveness of our program, as it involves leading the needs assessment process, designing and implementing evaluation frameworks, and providing valuable insights to improve program outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management and delivery
Oversee all programming within designated area; develop, coordinate, manage, implement and evaluate program to maximize participation, outcomes and beneficiary satisfaction.
Ensure existing activities are running to a high standard whilst strategically reviewing and planning new impactful projects to meet the needs of our community.
Participate in organizational planning and budgeting process related to program management
Analyse program impact while continuing to strive for growth and program development
Team Leadership
Work closely with People and Culture Director to maintain a solid team and lead on recruitment for your team.
Ensure volunteers are properly trained and capable for successful execution of their roles.
Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.
Database Management and Monitoring and Evaluating
Follow up and track beneficiaries’ progress within the program, certifying maximum participation and development.
Maintain detailed records on the Lisbon Project’s database and create channels for feedback and evaluation.
Contribute to regular reports for the Directors and make recommendations for future program improvements.
Collaboration and Partnerships
Identify and foster a portfolio of relevant corporate and employability partners
Represent the Lisbon Project and lead presentations about the organization in employability settings and with corporate partners.
Work closely with Fundraising and Communications Department to provide content for social media, newsletters and web.
Requirements:
Ability to lead and inspire a team of volunteers.
Experience in project/program management.
Fluent in English (Portuguese and other language skills are valued)
Experience with skills training, employability or HR will be a strong advantage
Detail-oriented and efficient.
Understanding of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
Commitment to diversity, inclusion and the equal participation of team members
Knowledge/ experience of the Portuguese employability sector, including employment rights and laws for migrants is desirable
Experience of working with migrants and refugees is desirable.
