Role: Sports Coordinator 

Reports to: Community Life Manager

Time Commitment: 15 - 20h p/Week

Start Date: 05/02/2026


Summary:

The Sports Coordinator plays a vital role in the planning and implementation of sports as well as physical wellness activities within the Community Life Program. The primary responsibility is to support other coordinators by providing specialized expertise in organizing activities that promote physical health while fostering social cohesion, inclusion, and personal and collective development. The Sports Coordinator will have the flexibility to collaborate across various Community Life activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee service programming: develop, coordinate, manage, implement and evaluate sports and health related systems within the program.

  • Work as an interface between the different segments of community life regarding sports and health related topics.

  • Plan and organise health related workshops as well as sports activities.

  • Design and deliver activities that are impactful, safe, and engaging, contributing significantly to the department's overall goals.

  • Update supervisor with challenges and ideas.

  • Ensure the safety of children at all times.

  • Be punctual and communicate if a problem arises.

  • Following the minimum performance guidelines (MPGs). To be consulted internally with the position's supervisor.


Requirements:

  • Fluency in English.

  • Passionate about sports and wellbeing.

  • Able to organize and support events and regular activities.

  • Experience or a degree in the field is desirable but not mandatory.
