WHAT IS IT?
The juntas/parishes are the local authorities that, within the municipal territory, aim to pursue the interests of the population residing in each parish district.
How can they help?
The Parish Council issues documents for various purposes:
• Various Declarations and Certificates, for example criminal record register, CV registration, renovation of the driving license, registration of the household
• Residence Certificates
• Certificates of Economic Insufficiency
• Proofs of Life
• Household Confirmations
• Terms of Administrative Justification
• Identity Term
• Voter Certificates
• Voter Registration
• Licensing of Canines and Cats (which is mandatory and needs to be carried out between the animal’s 3 and 6 months of age.
• Photocopy Authentication
• Document Certificate
• Management of the Parish Cemetery
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
1. Select your correspondent Parish Council (you can see it in your address).
2. Go to their website to check which service you need and look out of any schedule constraints that you might need to take into consideration.
3. After selecting the service, try to look for any documents you may need to provide in order to resolve your situation.
4. Call the Parish Council if you have any questions.
BE AWARE OF
Recently, the Parish Council of Arroios was accused of making it harder for migrants to obtain their legalization. The law says it is a mere administrative act, not needing anything else besides the presence of two testimonies or a declaration of honor.
The recent news says that the Parish has been asking for residence authorization, as well as the registration in Health Care System, School or even Finances.
